1789 was a year of great change & events in the world. The French Revolution begins with the fall of the Bastille. George Washington is inaugurated as 1st President of The United States. Sir Alexander Mackenzie explores his namesake river in Canada. Burbon was first distilled from corn by Elijah Craig in Kentucky. There was mutiny on The Bounty lead by Christian Fletcher against Captain William Bligh.
